Master Study Program in Environmental Resilience and Geohazards
The MaStER_G project proposes a pioneering international master's programme in environmental geotechnics and geohazard management, bringing together institutions from Croatia, Serbia, North Macedonia, Iran and Brazil.
The fist semester will be held at the Faculty of Geotechnical Engineering, University of Zagreb placed in the medieval city of Varazdin in Croatia.

The mission of the Faculty of Geotechnical Engineering, University of Zagreb, is to conduct scientific research and provide higher education in an interdisciplinary area of environmental engineering as well as to apply and transfer knowledge to a business sector.
The Institute of Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Seismology (IZIIS) is a scientific-research and high-education institution, existing as a unit within the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje.
The Faculty of Civil Engineering in Skopje at the University “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” is the oldest civil engineering faculty in North Macedonia. It organizes study programs in civil engineering (structural engineering, traffic infrastructure, hydraulic engineering), geodesy and geotechnical engineering, at all three cycles of studies: bachelor, master and doctoral.
Today, Faculty of Mining and Geology, University of Belgrade, meets the standards of modern higher education and gives young people the opportunity to get a great education for different positions within the mining and geological engineering profession thanks to excellent teachers, internationally recognized experts and by means of modern equipment and literature.

The MaStER_G consortium officially launched with its kick-off meeting held on October 10, 2025. This inaugural event brought together representatives from all partner institutions to align goals, define responsibilities, and set the foundation for the project's successful implementation.The meeting marked an important milestone in launching the MaStER_G initiative and reaffirmed the consortium’s shared commitment to excellence, inclusion, and innovation in higher education across Europe.
The MaStER_G consortium held its second official meeting on November 24, 2025, focusing on branding and key project management tools. During the meeting, members voted on the official project logo and defined the visual identity, laying the groundwork for stronger promotional activities and increased project visibility. In addition, the consortium approved three essential documents that will guide the project's implementation: Risk Management Plan, Quality Management Plan, and Financial Guidelines. These documents are vital for ensuring the effective, transparent, and smooth operation of the MaStER_G project moving forward. This meeting marked a significant step in both the strategic and operational development of the project.
The third meeting of the MaStER_G consortium was held on December 22, 2025, with a strong focus on the upcoming Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters (EMJM) call—a key milestone for the project. As one of the major deliverables of MaStER_G, the consortium officially began preparations for the EMJM project proposal, aiming to meet the submission deadline on February 12, 2026. This proposal is a crucial step toward securing funding and elevating the program’s international reach and impact. If successfully granted, the MaStER_G program will be able to offer generous scholarships to prospective students—€1,400 per month for a full duration of 24 months—covering both academic and living expenses during the two-year program. This meeting marked a significant advancement in the project's development and demonstrated the consortium’s shared commitment to providing high-quality, inclusive education opportunities on a global scale.
